What areas do you serve?

We serve San Francisco, Marin, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Albany, Piedmont and northern San Mateo county.

Do you do pressure washing or gutter repair?

Unfortunately, we do not provide these services. However, we partner with several excellent companies throughout the bay area that do, and are happy to provide references upon request.

How much do your services cost?

It depends. Generally, a standard single-hung, two-paned window will cost between $15-$20 for interior and exterior cleaning, or $10-$12 just for the exterior. That being said, a lot depends on the condition of the windows, accessibility, or whether additional services such as screen and track cleaning are desired. Solar panels are usually $5-$7 per panel. Gutter cleaning ranges from $200-$400, depending on square footage and how tall the house is.

What can I do to get ready for my cleaning?

Kindly remove any items that may be attached to windows in your home, as well as clearing all items off of window sills. Please ensure that all interior sides of windows are accessible (if there is any heavy/large furniture blocking access we can help you move it).

What can I expect leading up to/during my cleaning?

We will send a reminder email three days before the cleaning, and a reminder text the morning of. Once we arrive, we'll introduce ourselves, remove any screens from the inside, and then go outside to clean the exterior of the glass. Once that's done, we'll come back inside, clean the inside of the glass, check our work one last time, and reinstall screens. Please note that if you just want the exteriors of your windows cleaned and you have screens we may still have to come into the home before the cleaning to remove them.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We take cash, check, venmo, paypal, credit/debit cards, and ACH transfers.

Do you clean storefronts and commercial properties as well?

Do you have a minimum service charge?

Yes, we do charge a $200 minimum to cover the cost and time of travel/setup.

Will I be charged a fee service fee if I forgot my appointment, had an emergency, am out of town, or forgot to cancel?

Absolutely not. We understand that life is often chaotic and unpredictable, and that stuff happens. Just give us a call and we can reschedule.

It's raining - should I reschedule my service?

If it's a heavy downpour, yes, we will contact you to reschedule. Otherwise, a little bit of rain never hurt anybody.

Are you insured?

Yes, Sterling Clean Windows carries a $1,000,000 general liability insurance policy though Next Insurance, which can be made available to view upon request.

How often should I get a cleaning?

We recommend getting your windows cleaned at least twice a year, though it's entirely up to you. Solar panels should be cleaned once a year. Gutter cleaning is highly dependent on whether there is tree cover over your house. We recommend at least having them looked at once a year, and cleaned on an as-needed basis.
